About the course

This CPD course is designed for people who are new to childcare, returning to work, or exploring early years roles. It provides a strong foundation in safeguarding and safe practice, helping learners understand how childcare settings operate and what employers expect. The course is structured into clear modules with videos, reading materials and reflective activities. It does not replace formal childcare qualifications, but it supports entry into the sector and complements future training. By completing this course, learners gain practical knowledge, professional awareness and increased confidence when applying for childcare roles.

The Family Foundation

The Family Foundation is a registered charity that operates across Wales. We work very closely with individuals and groups in the community. We provide a range of targeted support from accredited training in a range of subjects from Level 1 to Level 3. We also offer training via blended and online options to help people update their knowledge and skills. We support our Serving Armed Forces community across Wales and our Veteran Community with training, support, referrals and sign posting to help. We are a Silver Award holder of the Armed Forces Covenant Employer Recognition Scheme and have held the Trusted Charity Status.
