About the course

This CPD course is designed for beginners, career returners and anyone considering work in early years settings. It focuses on how children learn, how behaviour can be understood, and how adults work professionally in childcare environments. The course combines practical explanations, reflective learning and real-world insight into childcare practice. It supports learners in developing confidence and awareness, while preparing them for entry-level roles or further qualifications. By completing this course, learners gain a deeper understanding of early years practice and the professional skills needed in childcare settings.

The Family Foundation

The Family Foundation is a registered charity that operates across Wales. We work very closely with individuals and groups in the community. We provide a range of targeted support from accredited training in a range of subjects from Level 1 to Level 3. We also offer training via blended and online options to help people update their knowledge and skills. We support our Serving Armed Forces community across Wales and our Veteran Community with training, support, referrals and sign posting to help. We are a Silver Award holder of the Armed Forces Covenant Employer Recognition Scheme and have held the Trusted Charity Status.
